National Childcare Scheme
Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Dr Katherine Zappone, has today announced the launch of the National Childcare Scheme, the pathway to quality, accessible, affordable Early Learning and Care and School-Age Childcare in Ireland.
The Government has introduced a universal, non-means tested subsidy of up to €1,040 per year for children up to start of the ECCE (free pre-school) programme. In addition, there are supports for families on lower incomes of up to €7,500 per year for children up to 15 years of age.
Access & Inclusion
The Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) is a model of supports designed to ensure that children with disabilities can access the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programme.
