childhood care and education programmes.

National Childcare Scheme 

LCCC work to sustain early childhood care and education services through the local implementation of childcare funding programmes in Co. Louth, on behalf of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA). Childcare funding initiatives assist parents to access affordable quality early childhood care and education.

 

 

National Childcare Funding Programmes 2019/2020

 

The Government has introduced a universal, non-means tested subsidy of up to €1,040 per year for children up to start of the ECCE (free pre-school) programme. In addition, there are supports for families on lower incomes of up to €7,500 per year for children up to 15 years of age.

The Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) is a model of supports designed to ensure that children with disabilities can access the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programme.
